About me
I've recently completed my Master's in Philosophy at the University of Otago. My research interests include feminist philosophy, political philosophy, applied ethics, queer and trans, disability, mad, and fat studies. I've always been keen to bridge the gap between academia and activism and rather earnestly believe that ideas can change the world. Possibly. Well, I'm defiantly optimistic. Sort of.
Outside of academia I like to build and facilitate spaces where people can safely explore and express their most authentic selves. I've previously run an organisation where I trained peer educators and we provided sex education in schools in India and workshops on gender and sexuality for parents and teachers. Now, I'm running Play!Date, an online cold-read theatre project built around accessibility and play without performance. I love when ideas come wrapped in stories.
Talk to me about storytelling, science-fiction, theatre, philosophy, sex/sexuality/gender, climate change, and the end of the world. I'm happy to indulge most conversational impulses and eager to listen!
