Established in 1923, the Australasian Association of Philosophy (AAP) Annual Conference will be convened in a hybrid format by the University of Waikato from Sunday 5 July to Thursday 9 July 2026. The conference provides a forum for professional philosophers and postgraduate researchers to present and critically discuss papers across the full range of philosophical subfields. It typically attracts approximately 200–300 delegates from around the world and features roughly 200 presentations, making it one of the largest philosophy conferences in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Australasian Association of Philosophy recognises Australia’s First Nations Peoples as the traditional owners and custodians of this land, and their continuous connection to country, community and culture.
The Australasian Association of Philosophy recognises the unique role of Māori as Tangata Whenua and embraces Te Tiriti o Waitangi recognising Māori as tino rangitiratanga of Aotearoa/New Zealand while embracing the three guiding principles of the Treaty – Partnership Participation and Protection.
