About me
Kevin Xavier Roque is an instructor at Ateneo de Manila University. His research interests include philosophical aesthetics, historical and contemporary East Asian philosophy, systematic ethics, and philosophy of religion. He has a particular engagement with the Kyoto School of Philosophy, especially on its accounts of interpreting Confucian role ethics and philosophy of art. He is committed to bridging the theories of artistic expression and interpretation towards the practice of ethical engagement. Apart from his academic and teaching endeavors, he also practices kyūdō (Japanese archery), chadō (Japanese tea ceremony), Chinese ink painting, and catching up on his endless backlog of video games.
