About me
Hello! I am an instructor from Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines. My research interests include philosophical aesthetics, historical and contemporary East Asian philosophy, systematic ethics, and philosophy of religion. I have a particular engagement with Japanese systemic ethicists, Watsuji Tetsurô and Imamichi Tomonobu, especially on their accounts of interpreting Confucian role ethics and philosophy of art. I am committed to bridging the theories of artistic expression and interpretation towards the practice of ethical engagement. Apart from my academic and teaching endeavors, I also practice kyūdō (Japanese archery), chadō (Japanese tea ceremony), Chinese ink painting, and catching up on my endless backlog of video games.
